The annual Broad Ripple Lodge pilgrimage to Schofield House (217 W. Second St., Madison, IN) is this Saturday, March 11, 2006. The Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Indiana, was organized in this building on January 13, 1818. Broad Ripple Lodge will confer the Entered Apprentice Degree upon a worthy candidate elected by our Lodge to receive the degrees of Free Masonry.
The young man's father will preside in the East for the degree portion of the days’ proceedings.
Please join us in Madison as we bring the 6th generation of this family to the Light of Freemasonry.
We are asking that people start showing up at 9am so that we can set-up and open by 10am.
Following the degree, we will adjourn for lunch at the Historic Broadway Hotel & Tavern (a cigar friendly establishment) located at 313 Broadway Street. The proprietor, Ryan Shaw, is looking forward to seeing our group at 12:30pm.
As an added bonus, Rick McGee (owner of Hemingway’s Cigars), has extended our merry band a 10% discount on all purchases at his shop this Saturday. His store is located at 710 West Main Street in Madison (open 11am –6pm on Saturday). Just mention Broad Ripple Lodge to receive the discount.
