Thanks to the hard work of Wbro. Nathan Brindle, Broad Ripple Lodge now offers its members a wireless high-speed DSL internet connection. If you have a wireless interface card in your laptop computer (including Macs with an Airport card), you can bring it to the Lodge and connect to the wireless RIPPLE network from anywhere in the building or even the parking lot.
Eventually, we will install several RJ45 outlets in the dining room as well, for plug-in connections. The Lodge computer will be made available for any members who wish to connect to the internet.
Brethren who wish to use the network need to register with the Lodge Secretary to receive the Shared Key (password). It must remain password protected because, obviously, if we can use it in the parking lot, so can anyone else armed with a wireless laptop.
